Vintage Art Deco French Wine Bucket in Hotel Silverplate

Description

Vintage French wine/champagne bucket with art deco style winged handles and decorative grooves at the base. The silver plate French champagne bucket was most likely used in a bistro or restaurant.
The heavy ice bucket is made of French argent metal, a heavy silver plate similar to hotel silver.
Marked on the bottom are the hallmarks "18G" and "DFRES" along with a partly illegible signature and with the cursive letter "A".
Measurements: 8" tall x 8" diameter excluding handles. Weight: 2 1/2 pounds. Heavy and sturdy.
Condition: Good condition on the exterior with one or two tiny pinpoint dents and very light patina. The inside has oxidation and wear to the finish on the bottom.
