    Description

    Starlink is great.
    But are you a
    frustrated
Starlink Beta Customer when it came time to mount Dishy McFlatface with a clear horizon? we were when it was realized that the little tripod mount was useless for the height needed to mount the antenna above a tiled roof. Did you go online to their site and try to buy their original pipe adapter mount - BTW it's available now, but not included in your kit and could be a few weeks for a special delivery afterwards? And theirs was really designed as well for an up to 2-1/2" aluminum irrigation pipe mount or other smaller pipe, then mounted to the adapter with with 6 set screws (see atch photo of theirs). Did you even see a 2-1/2" irrigation pipe for sale at your local hardware store? Probably not... so you're going to have kind of a sloppy mount on a smaller diameter pipe using the company adapter.
    This
    AFTERMARKET PIPE ADAPTER
is the smart answer to the
    Independent
Article described "Idiotic Contraption" problem https://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/gadgets-and-tech/starlink-elon-musk-space-internet-trees-b1855982.html
This very strong and durable 304 Stainless Steel machined 1-1/4" Starlink Antenna pipe adapter clips right on to the Dishy McFlatface phased array antenna mast and screws into any female NPT threaded 1-1/4" pipe connector available at your local hardware store or big box. And/or you can buy connectors on Ebay or other online outlets which allows you to simple buy up to 10' stainless, galvanized, or black pipe sections or multiples thereof or using another reducer/enlarger - use any sized pipe sections that you want to engineer - to extend the height of where you mount your Starlink antenna - be aware that you have 100' of feed to work with and Starlink does not recommend extensions to connect the antenna to the modem/power box. We just used one 10' section of 1-1/4" pipe from a big box hardware store with a roof tripod mount spiked into ground and with two braces to porch.
We used two 1-5/8" exhaust pipe clamps on drilled plates to secure the mast to the braces off the porch roof - but you could mount a free standing antenna using your own U-Bolt Mast Clamp Support Brackets and attach cable stays and a base plate to build your own free standing antenna to be clear of tree branches, roofline, or any visual obstruction. Various means can be used for a survey - visually before firing up the Starlink or with the App on your phone or after you power the Starlink and it reports on discovered horizon obstructions - a few leaves or branches
    will
    block the signal.
    Safety Note:
Recommend that you ground the mast if you think it could be a lightning hazard.  We also secured the antenna feed with zip ties after the 10th photo leaving some strain relief at the top of antenna for stowing - as when it comes out of stow mode on initialization - it can turn and tilt quite a bit. As this is an aftermarket part that will be part of your own experimentally designed mast - we can not be responsible for under engineered structure that fails to perform or breaks other than our adapter part which we warranty to be free of defects in workmanship or design. We recommend "P for Plenty" and over designing the structure if you live in a very windy or stormy location like we do. See photo of two massive "dustdevils" passing by. These are more like mini-twisters and one hit the house and our mast with no damage other than scattering debris around the yard. I would have worried about the set screw mount shearing loose and having the antenna fall with the factory pipe adapter mount.
The photos that we currently have on the ad are closeups of the stainless steel production part with the exception of the original prototype on the dishy mast and 10' pole mount. Now we have the mill and lathe set up, a jig, and have precision machined the inside diameter (ID) and holes in the stainless part to fit perfectly on the antenna so the finish is very professionally honed and tested before shipping.  Could you make this yourself if you prototype it on your own lathe and drill press - try drilling 304 SS lately? Sure - but why bother - we've done all the work in a beefy stainless durable part Warranted for 1 year to be free from defects in workmanship for less than .
Demand will  be high - we now have 1-1/4" stainless 304 material in stock - so first come, first served, but expect that in addition to standard shipping - we will add various overnight express or priority expedited shipping to be in place by early July 2021.  If you have a Starlink on order - order yours today to have it arrive before the Starlink and built your extended mast be prepared to rock with a pipe adapter mount that you put on the ground, or attach to your home or RV or moored boat - recommend using stainless steel for the rest of your pipe if in marine environment. We ship from our Pahrump NV location on a first come, first served basis. Thank you for your order in advance - the GrinchWorks LLC team.
Please contact us first if in any way you are not happy with this critical part to allow enjoyment of Starlink in your fixed location (which hopefully in the near future could be also used while overlanding in back country or on any other other vehicle or vessel while it is parked or moored).
